We play on the green near the village hall with an open view of the Castle and surroundings. The members are an encouraging and welcoming group of people who enjoy close, friendly competition within the Club. New members will be looked after and helped with the basics of bowling, to allow them to join in and take up a new sport in a warm sociable environment.
Remember, bowls is not just a sport for older and/or retired people. The 2025 men's world indoor bowling champion is only 28 years old!
Bowls is a sport everyone can enjoy, whether you're 9 or 90! It is intrinsically accessible, no matter your age, gender, ethnicity or ability. It's also so sociable - as you'll find out when you visit our club. The health benefits of sport are well-known, and bowls offers a low impact way to stay vitalised. And of course - that moment as your bowl winds its way towards the jack is truly mesmerising!
