ANNUAL PRIZE DRAW
The Club is offering the chance to win BIG money in the above, which will be held after the end of the bowling season. The draw historically was introduced to offset the Covid related loss of income from Bingo, and is now a regular feature of the Club’s fundraising, and a fun part of the Club annual dinner.
There will be just 3 prizes, making up one-half of the draw income. Tickets cost £10 each.
If you’re interested in supporting the Club, (in a way which might also benefit you!!!), an application form can be completed on this page, alternatively you can download and complete a paper copy with the link below. You can subscribe for as many numbers as you wish, at any time up to the end of September
The rules governing the draw have been approved by Ryedale District Council and are printed below.
Annual Draw Rules
Membership shall be open to all persons above the age of 16 who have paid the appropriate fee, and have completed the initial membership application.
Individual members may hold more than one number.
The draw will take place annually, at the Club annual dinner, or such other meeting as may be determined by the Club officers.
The £10 fee for each participating draw number shall be payable in advance
The prize money paid out at each draw will always equal or just exceed 50% of the total draw income for the year ending in September of each calendar year. There will be 3 prizes, the first equalling 20% of the total draw income, and the remaining 2 prizes will each be of 15% of the total draw income. On the basis of 100 numbers, the first prize would therefore be £200, and the remaining prizes £150 each.
The balance of subscriptions will be applied to club funds.
The draw will be made by the President of the Club, or his nominee, and in addition to notifying winners, the organisers will arrange for details of the winning membership numbers to be published in the Sheriff Hutton Village News.
The decision of the organisers shall be final in any matter requiring adjudication. The organisers shall have the power to amend or revoke these Rules at their absolute discretion.
The organisers shall be an ‘ad hoc’ Committee appointed by the Club officers.
No prize won in the draw shall be paid or delivered by the organisers to any person other than the person to whom the winning ticket was sold.
The promoter is Brian Shepherd of 11 Castle View Sheriff Hutton YO60 6SR under Gambling Act 2005 licence number 20/00447/SMLOT issued by Ryedale District Council.
