Well played Drew!
Runner Up in the Ryedale Vets Singles
A very tight game at Huby today, 28th August, but Debbie Taylor (Easingwold) just edged ahead at the end. This was the first year that Drew has entered the singles so it was a great achievement to get to the final. He knows what to do now, so next year........ (no pressure, Drew!)
The last time SHBC held this trophy was 1992.
It was good to see members of SHBC supporting Drew at Huby.

Sheriff Hutton Bowling Club
Competitions
We are currently lying in the middle of the table in Division 2 of the Rydale Veterans League. This is a big improvement from last year. Members have been entering, and are still in other Yorkshire Bowling Association Knockout competitions. The Club is definitely making its presence felt again through the enthusiasm of its members. While there is a competitive spirit in the Club, we have a very friendly group of members who welcome newcomers to bowls. We will get you started and encourage you to join in.
Come along on a Tuesday evening at 6.30pm. Have a go, what have you got to lose!
The in house competitions are under pressure to complete so August will be a busy month for competitions.
Social
We plan to hold an ‘End of Season’ social in the Clubhouse after the Autumn Fours on Wednesday 27th of August.
The Annual dinner will be held in November.

The Club will be running a Cafe as usual during the Jumble Sale on Saturday 6th September. It’s open to all, you don’t have to go to the jumble sale!
Come along for some delicious home baking.
